I love Sky but their pricing increases drive me nuts and the most recent has forced me to give up with them. Trouble with multi package deals is they are not always good value for money. I am moving my Broadband to BT and my tv to freeview.

l was curious, are there any limits to those who can obtain max? l did some online searching and according to BT l can get the upto 76mbps package, but sky says l cant.

l was under the impression that l could get it anywhere that fibre was available albeit in an “upto speed” kind of way.

There can be limits. Even if fibre is available, each company has their own restrictions which could be based upon location, distance from towers, number of customers online in the area, cost, your computer, type of modem/router, etc. You need to shop around. Also research how much speed you actually need. People who do not stream movies or do online gaming do not need as much speed, for example. Speed and broadband restrictions can also be pertinent to those who don’t have fibre access, as well.

I joined Sky about 17 years ago and enjoyed a hassle free service, I upgraded to the new SkyQ last year and have enjoyed some of the best experiences anyone can with Digital TV. The SKYQ service is a truly wonderful experience, never again will you need to decide what to record, with up to 6 programs at once being recorded. My SKY Q box allows me to connect a Speaker system.

I joined broadband about 2 years ago and have always enjoyed a fast connection, I had one day of bad service which Sky made up with excellent customer service. Although line rental isn’t cheap, the broadband is reliable and I guess the saying, you get what you pay for is true
